From 12 August to 23 August 2024, Nadja Haas took part in this year's Pharmacometrics Summer School in Uppsala (Sweden).
Carolin Keip received the Poster Award of the Dr August and Dr Anni Lesmüller Foundation for her poster with the title „Entwicklung von Instrumenten zur Qualitätssicherung von Medikationsanalysen in öffentlichen Apotheken“ at the Annual Meeting of the German Society of Clinical Pharmacy (DGKPha) on November 19th, 2023. We congratulate her warmly on this award!
Prof. Dr. Ulrich Jaehde is among the winners of the national competition "Professor of the Year 2023". He finished in 3rd place in the category Medicine/Natural Sciences behind Prof. Dr. Sonja Bröer (Freie Universität Berlin) and Prof. Dr. Christian Laforsch (University of Bayreuth).
The "Professor of the Year" competition of the UNICUM Foundation has been taking place for 18 years and is under the patronage of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection. Three places are awarded in each of four categories. A jury headed by the former HRK Vice President and Dean of the University of Duisburg-Essen, Prof. Dr. Ulrich Radtke, decides who will become Professor of the Year.

Anna Böhmer won a Poster Award at the Annual Meeting of DPhG (German Pharmaceutical Society) in the section Clinical Pharmacy for her poster presentation titled "Prioritisation and Identification of Adverse Drug Reactions in routinely collected electronic data sources during hospitalisation: A RAND survey". Her award was funded by the Dr. August und Dr. Anni Lesmüller Foundation. We congratulate her on this outstanding accomplishment!
From 24 July to 13 October Olga Teplytska was on a research stay at the Center for Pharmacometrics and Systems Pharmacology (University of Florida) working with the research group of Prof. Dr. Stephan Schmidt. During her stay, she gained a lot of insights and hands-on experience in various modeling techniques. Her research stay was funded with a Santander International Exchange Grant. We thank the Schmidt group for this amazing opportunity!
With 96.2 %, Prof. Dr. Ulrich Jaehde was elected by the members of the German Pharmaceutical Society (DPhG) as President for the years 2024-2027.
Dr. Ronja Woltersdorf received the teaching award of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences from the Dean of Studies, Prof. Dr. Michael Meier, at the Faculty's celebration in the Botanical Garden on July 5th, 2023. In his laudation, Prof. Meier praised Ronja Woltersdorf's outstanding commitment to the design and development of her courses in Clinical Pharmacy. He particularly emphasised her commitment to interprofessional teaching of pharmacy and medical students. We warmly congratulate our colleague on this award and wish her continued joy in teaching!
On May 6th, 2023, Lars Wismar received the ADKA training project award "Diploma" for his diploma thesis with the title "Verbesserte Arzneimitteltherapiesicherheit parenteraler Arzneimittelapplikation durch den Einsatz von Smart-Infusionssystemen – Untersuchung des Status quo und Entwicklung eines Standardisierungskonzepts in Deutschland". The work was carried out at the Department of Clinical Pharmacy at the University Hospital of Dresden in cooperation with the Pharmaceutical Institute of the Friedrich Schiller University of Jena. We congratulate our colleague on this award and wish him continued success!
